What are categories and why do they matter?

Categories help visitors find your content by grouping similar things together (e.g. "Food & Drink," "Live Music"). You'll usually find these in a Relations or Categories tab when editing.

Only select categories that are genuinely relevant. It might be tempting to add extra ones for more visibility, but this usually backfires:
- It creates a confusing experience for visitors, who may lose trust in the site
- It's a common reason for submissions to be rejected

NOTE: You can only choose from categories that already exist — these are set up by the team managing the site, not by you. Depending on your access level, you may not be able to add categories in every area.
